The deadline for all scholarship applications is December 31.

The Pennsylvania Veterinary Foundation (PVF) is the charitable arm of the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Assocition (PVMA). An integral part of PVF’s mission is to promote the advancement of certified veterinary technicians and all members of the veterinary team by providing financial assistance to students in their educational years in hopes to have more people become certified. The recipient of this scholarship will receive $500 toward tuition at an AVMA-accredited school.



Criteria for scholarships are based on the following:
  1. Applicant’s current cumulative GPA,
  2. Applicant’s academic achievements,
  3. Applicant’s plans for the future, and
  4. Financial need.


Eligibility Requirements
  1. Candidates must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in an American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA)-accredited veterinary technology program.
  2. The student must be a member of the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association. It is free for a student to become a member. You may join at www.pavma.org.
  3. The candidate must possess a 2.5 or better cumulative GPA.
  4. The student must live and attend a veterinary technology program within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  5. Candidates must submit a completed application postmarked by the December 31 deadline, including:
    • Application—Signed and dated
    • Typed essay
    • Current school transcripts
    • Verification signature by faculty advisor
